Set in a rural location offering peace and tranquility, High Oaks comprises a period farmhouse and converted barns. We have a large garden where we often grow vegetables and herbs. We are blessed with a pleasant contrast to a busy, clinical hospital ward.

Our care covers a 24 hour period, 365 days of the year. This offers a variety of shifts within a reasonably flexible rota pattern. Full-time, part-time, bank and job share positions are offered.

It's not only our shift patterns that offer flexibility. As a small, independent home we are open to new ideas and suggestions which we can action quickly and spontaneously without the usual red tape and dozens of forms to fill in.
Staff can participate in fun, pleasurable activities whilst on duty e.g. swimming, cinema and theatre, barbeques, woodwork.

We offer a group and individual training programme including: statutory training required by the Common Induction Standards for Social Care, NVQ training at different levels and management of aggression. We also send selected staff on training courses to assist their development needs and/or relevant to the client group.

We assist nurses with their PREP requirements, supporting them through life-long learning. Our training links with University of East Anglia (UEA), enable us to take their student RMN's on placement. Health and social care students on placement from City College in Norwich are also accepted.

Newly qualified nurses can complete their preceptorship programme at High Oaks and care staff participate in our programme of clinical supervision.

Staff are recruited as and when required, however, we welcome speculative enquiries from interested parties throughout the year. You are welcome to chat with one of our managers, and/or visit informally.
